OrbDrop Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OrbDrop (the “App”), a puzzle game published by MelasSoft (“we”, “us”) on Google Play under the package name com.melasoft.orbdrop, handles information.

In short

  • OrbDrop does not ask for any personal information and has no accounts or sign-in.

  • Your game settings and best score are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.

  • The App shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device information, such as your Advertising ID, to show and measure those ads.

  • We do not sell your data. Apart from the advertising data that Google’s SDK collects and shares with Google, as described below, we do not share it, and we do not use analytics or tracking of our own.

1. Information stored on your device

To remember your preferences between sessions, the App saves the following on your device:

  • your best score,

  • whether music is turned on or off,

  • the background scene currently in use.

This information is kept only in the App’s private storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it does not identify you. It is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data in your device settings.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To deliver ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as:

  • device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID and app set ID,

  • your IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location,

  • device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and app version,

  • information about the ads shown to you and how you interact with them,

  • diagnostic information about the performance of the ads.

Google uses this information to show ads, measure their performance, prevent fraud and abuse and, where permitted, personalise ads. On supported Android versions, Google may also use Android Privacy Sandbox features, such as Topics and Attribution, for these purposes.

Where the law requires your consent for personalised advertising, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, personalised ads are not shown without that consent. Google may show non-personalised or limited ads instead.

We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you. We only see aggregated reports, such as the number of ads shown. Google’s use of this information is governed by its own policies:

3. Your choices

  • Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and turn off ads personalisation, in your Android settings. Depending on your device, this is under Settings → Privacy → Ads or Settings → Google → Ads.

  • Stop all data processing: uninstalling the App stops all collection described in this policy.

4. Permissions

The App requests internet and network state access in order to load ads. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK also adds the Advertising ID permission and Android ad services permissions it needs to work.

The App does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or precise location.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your information. The data needed to show ads, described in section 2, is collected by Google’s Mobile Ads SDK and shared with Google, as the ad provider, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. We do not share information with anyone else.

6. Security

Information saved by the game stays in the App’s private storage, which other apps cannot access. Information collected by Google is handled under Google’s security practices and privacy policy.

7. Data retention and deletion

We do not keep any personal data on servers. Game data on your device remains until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Data collected by Google is kept in line with Google’s own retention policies. You can limit future ad-related collection by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID, as described in section 3.

8. Children

OrbDrop is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will help address it.

9. Your rights

If you live in the European Union or another region with data protection laws, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct or delete it. Because we do not collect or store personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data are best directed to Google. You are welcome to contact us with any question. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Greece this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App’s features change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
